People often comment to me how sad it is that our seminaries are empty and there are no young men entering the priesthood these days. It strikes me that this is by and large everyone's assumption of what the state of affairs is for vocations these days. Many are surprised when I tell them that things are changing in this area. No doubt, gone are the days when we ordain a dozen at a time to the priesthood, and it's true that we here in Louisville could be doing even better than we are, but the tide is beginning to turn.
